Natural and historical tour

 

Day 1: Arrive to Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. English speaking guide will meet you in the arrivals hall at Chinggis  khaan airport. Transfer to the hotel and check in to your room. The Guide will introduce tour itinerary and remind required information. (D)









Day 2: Travel to Mongolian Gobi  desert that is one of the must visited place in the world. Tsagaan Suvarga (White stupa) is the impressive and legendary cliff which is ereoded by natural phenomenon. Stay overnight in the tourist ger camp.(B.L.D)









Day 3: Pass through the capital city of South Gobi province Dalanzadgad city, visit Yol Valley (lammergeier gorge) Canyon named after the bearded vultures. This canyon wall flows along the river, it continues for 8km, 2800 m high above sea level. Stay overnight in a tourist ger camp. (B.L.D)









Day 4: Continue driving 180 km to the west, to visit Khongor sand dunes. A natural beige gold colors and brilliant look of this magnificent oasis on the north side with lush greenery. Climbing the dunes as known Duut Mankhan (singing dunes) is breath taking, once you are up on the dune, cars and people in the slope of the mountain looks like a tiny bug. Stay overnight in this beautiful natural setting full of shining stars and fresh air in a tourist ger camp. (B.L.D)






Day 5: Continue driving to Flaming Cliffs Bayanzag, owing to their ochre red color, where is located the "cemetery of dinosaurs" and saxaul tree grows in the Gobi.  In the afternoon you will move to the boundary from Gobi to mountainous area Ongi monastery. Stay overnight in a tourist ger camp. (B.L.D)









Day 6: Drive to Orkhon river waterfall tributaries caused by land formed in rugged field. Most waterfalls in the world fall from high mountains but Orkhon waterfall flows into a deep hole from the ground side. Big rocks formed in the volcanic hot lava, a fast and loud flowing river is a natural beauty. Stay overnight in a tourist ger camp. (B.L.D)







Day 7: Visit to Kharkhorin city. The town marks the site of the ancient town of Kharakhorum, which for a short time served as the capital of the Mongol empire in the XIII century. Only few relics, such as the stone turtles, remain. Travel with the opportunity to experience a moment of authentic ancient times. Meanwhile, you will see the Erdenezuu monastery Mongolian first Buddhist center which was founded 430 years ago. Overnight stay at the riverbed of Mongolian longest river Orkhon. (B.L.D)

Day 8: Drive back to Ulaanbaatar city and stay at hotel. (B.L.D)



Day 9: Discover Ulaanbaatar city tour: The city tour starts Gandandegchilen monastery which has a gilded deity of Buddha that resembles the Mongolian,Tibetan unity of  spirit and peace. Your tour also takes you to the Sukhbaatar Square located in the heart of the city and will see the transition of historical buildings and nomadic city life into urbanization.  In the afternoon you will visit the National History Museum which has over 2200 years of rich history, glorious, violent and noble past, from prehistory to Soviet period, including the establishment of the great Mongolian Empire by Chinggis Khaan. Next, you will see the biggest brand Gobi Cashmere factory shop. After, you can see a live performance of Mongolian folklore Tumen Ekh Ensemble. At the end of your tour guide will take you to your hotel.  (B.L.D)
