Itinerary

Day 1

Travel by a domestic bus to Murun town, the center of the northernmost part of the country (18:00). Overnight in the bus. 


Day 2

Arrive in Murun city at 06:00 in the morning. Drive to Khatgal village about 2 hours by a car. Stay and have breakfast in Khuvsgul Dalai tourist camp nearby the Khuvsgul lakeshore. Get some rest in the camp; and then camelback riding to visit a Mongolian nomad family from Khuvsgul lakeshore at 11:00. Lunch in the nomadic family. In the late afternoon, motorboat trip from Khuvsgul lakeshore to Khuseliin rock. Stay overnight in the Khuvsgul Dalai camp.


Day 3

Drive to Jankhai hill after breakfast. Enjoy the panoramic view of the Khuvsgul lake nature from the hill. Drive about 30km further to visit a Tsaatan family (between June 20th – August 10th). Take a picture riding a white reindeer. Drive back to the camp. Stay overnight in Khuvsgul Dalai camp.

Day 4

Drive to Murun city at 08:00 in the morning. Drive to Uushigiin Uvur Deer Stone Complex, located about 20km west of Murun city. Murun city tour after lunch. Visit the museum of South-Gobi province, memorial monuments, and a cashmere shop of Khuvsgul province. Take a domestic bus back to Ulaanbaatar city at 18:00. Overnight in a bus.


Day 5

Arrive in Ulaanbaatar city at 06:00 in the morning.
