Overview

The tour is in Eastern Mongolia including Khenti, Dornod provinces, and the Government of Mongolia declared the region as the "Historical Travel Zone". In addition to its natural features, and historical monuments make the region very unique compared to other regions of Mongolia. The tour allows seeing stone monuments, tomb, fortress and fortifications relating from the middle Stone Age to the Xiongnu and Khitan periods, as well as the culture of Buryat, Uzemchin people. The main feature of the tour is to travel to the sites of Chingis Khaan's birthplace and the historical places of the Mongolian Empire. It also allows travelling relevant places in the history of the Khalkha Gol Battle, which was faced to the modern Mongolians in a socialist society, and this history is now actively studied by Russian and American historians. The steppe of Eastern Mongolia and the wild gazelles surprise you. It is possible to ride camels and horses during the trip. Please note that most of the travel routes are via dirt roads.

  • Drive to the deer stones of Dund Jargalant relating to Bronze Age, Uglugch Wall, which was the borderline of ancient tribes, and Rashaan Rock that contains petroglyphs and rock inscription relating from late of Stone Age to Medieval.
  • Drive to the Binder soum where Chingis khaan established the Great Mongol Empire in 1206. Visit the House of Ikh Khuraldai.
  • See Duurilag Nars, which is a tomb of Xiongnu.
  • Visit the house of the well-known queens of Mongolia.
  •  Drive to Dadal soum where Chingis Khaan was born and stay in tourist camp.
